The Horse provides a focal point within the Deserted Medieval Village area - this was the first sculpture to be constructed and installed, followed by the Medieval Arch 1 and Seat.
Arches 2 and 3 are being made and installed to a timescale and sequence related to the development building phases. Each Arch is a stand-alone sculpture with its own historic and subject theme - all with associated seating. The Arches contain elements that link thematically, and will form a trail to enable school pupils to use the artworks educationally.
Teachers Sharon Brookes and Kirsten Black have created Schemes of Learning based on the artists research and the Settlement Sculptures, starting with the Horse and Arch 1 which are on site. These Schemes of Learning are available on this website on the Learn page.
